Come to the Mayfield Autumn Festival this 13 to 28 April 2019 and enjoy the beautiful Autumn colours.
All 75 hectares of the Hawkins’ Family Garden is open. Take the complimentary Hop-on-hop-off bus up to the Bluestone Chapel and the New Moss Creek Garden to check out the views from the highest point.
The New Moss Creek Garden – which will open for the first time this Autumn Festival – is a tribute to Australia and the great rediscovery of the Wollemi pine. Nicknamed the ‘dinosaur tree’ or ‘living fossil,’ the Wollemi pine is one of the most significant botanical discoveries of recent years. It was discovered in 1994 was just down the road at Wollemi National Park. Native Australian plants complement the rock formations and the Wollemi pine, which was propagated at Blue Mountains Botanical Garden.
Then, try your luck in the Mayfield Maze, then enjoy complimentary row boating on Mayfield Lake or play some of our interactive garden games, like croquet, bocce, and giant chess.
Taste this season’s menu in Mayfield Café featuring Mayfield produce. Chef Dan Child and his team have taken out all the stops to give you the flavours of Autumn, from the Spiced Pancakes to the Kitchen Garden Vegetable Pasta and the Pork Belly. Finish it off with a poached mulled wine pear crumble with honeycomb parfait.
Mayfield Garden is open every day of the school holidays including Easter weekend! Book your tickets now online at https://mayfieldgarden.com.au/whatson/autumn-festival/ or pay your entry at the gate. Gates open at 9 AM with final admission at 3 PM – the garden remains open until 4:30 PM daily.
